Korean Students Home Stay Guidelines © Digital Works of Art 2010 Made with Xara GUIDELINES FOR HOMESTAY STUDENTS:  Please see below for the guidelines that my Home stay students would be expected to follow at all times. Discipline of the animals (3 small dogs) will be my responsibility should there be an issue.  They are very loving and fun, but if they are being a bother, student agrees to communicate with me and I will respond immediately.  Please do not take it upon yourself to discipline the animals.  Mistreatment of the animals is not acceptable. Do not bring other guests/strangers into the home without permission to do so. Please do not bring overnight guests into the home without permission. Do not duplicate the house keys under any circumstances. Make sure you always communicate your arrival time in the evening, especially if you do not plan to eat dinner that night and you are under the room with meals plan. I will be very concerned about your safety; please be courteous as to keep me informed of your plans. Make sure you turn off the lights in your room when you leave. Also, make sure any appliances such as T.V., radio, computer, etc. are off when you are not using them. Be sure to lock the doors when you leave the home. Doing your laundry – you are responsible to do your own laundry. We can work out an acceptable schedule for using the laundry facilities in the home. Bed linens will be washed for you every two weeks. Phone calls – Calling cards can be purchased at convenience stores such as 7-Eleven or Rite-Aid, at the post office, supermarkets, etc. Please make sure to make all long distance and international phone call with your calling card. You will be sharing your bathroom with another student, the two of you can work out appropriate times when you should shower and for how long so that there is no conflict between your times. Showers should be limited to 15 minutes in an effort to conserve water. Also, you will have a shared bathroom, please try to occupy it for a reasonable amount of time and not overstay your time in the bathroom. It is your responsibility to bring your own personal supplies such as toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, etc.  (Towels will be provided). Cleanliness – you are expected to keep your room and bathroom reasonably clean and organized. A Housekeeper will clean, vacuum and dust your room, every two weeks. Absolutely no drinking of alcoholic beverages and no usage of drugs or other illegal substances are allowed in the house. No smoking is allowed at all. click Photo
